Cuban Dishes Every Thursday!
Every Thursday night, Chorizo will be hosting a unique course of old-school dishes from Cuba! As Chef Hector Diaz puts it, “[Thursday nights are] going to be about the undeniable icons of the culinary scene from the island.” Think of it as Cuba 101 – the curriculum of courses will span from popular foods from the city’s capital (Havana) to the lesser known metropolitan cuisine of Santa Clara and the agricultural regions of the “Oriente.”
Unique Meat, Fish and Vegetarian Fare
Oxtail, Kan Kan Pork, and Bacalao (cod fish) are just a few of the entree features Chef Hector will start wheeling out on Thursday evenings. Starting tomorrow (April 2nd), the chef and staff look forward to acquainting our Asheville citizens to hit dishes from Cuba!
“Since we are doing this weekly, every week we want to challenge ourselves to introduce something new. The dishes will start to get really focused on the regions.”
Cuban Night wouldn’t be complete without the specialty mixed cocktails of the region! As Chef Hector says, “no Cuban food is ever complete without a couple of mojitos to balance out the medley of spices that never burn, but always flavor.”
